Complaint:
When adjusting the screen angle of the iPad(R) Rear Integration Plus (accessory from Mercedes-Benz Accessories), squeaking noises may occur
after intensive use.
The object numbers shown above are affected.
Cause:
Insufficient lubrication of ball joint.
Remedy:
Oil the ball joint using the special lubricant A000 989 36 60.
Raise the head restraint and perform the following steps (see pictures in attachment):
1. Slacken the Allen screw (1) using an Allen wrench (size 3) until there is a gap between the two locking plates (2).
2. Apply a drop of lubricant between the locking plates (2).
3. Move the ball joint (3) to distribute the lubricant.
4. Retighten the Allen screw (1) to 2 Nm.
