Complaint:
After replacement of the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) the additional water pump (M13) is no longer actuated.
The following customer complaints can occur:
- Auxiliary/stationary heater inoperative
- Residual engine heat utilization system inoperative
- Windshield washer system heater inoperative
- Heater in start/stop mode inoperative
Cause:
Faulty setting in replacement AAC operating unit (N22/7).
Affects vehicles fitted with one or more of the following items of special equipment (SA code):
- Auxiliary/stationary heater (SA code 228)
- Residual engine heat utilization (SA code 670)
- Windshield washer system heater (SA code 875)
- Additional parts for countries with cold temperatures (SA code 824)
- Taxi International (SA code 450)
- Direct start or Eco start/stop function (SA code B03)
Remedy:
Work on a remedy is in progress.
It is expected that a solution to this problem will be available for control unit programming with Star Diagnosis as of DVD 01/2010.
Until that time please contact the Star Diagnosis User Help Desk (UHD) 201 505 4630 if these complaints are encountered.
The Help Desk will provide appropriate instructions and the necessary passwords.
