The All-New 2025 Ford Expedition: Everything You Need to Know

The 2025 Ford Expedition is a refreshed full-size SUV offering updated technology, a revamped design, and increased off-road capability, particularly with its new Tremor trim. This variant enhances off-road performance, featuring a lifted suspension, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and a dedicated rock-crawling mode, powered by a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that produces 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Standard trims maintain the 400-hp version of the EcoBoost V6, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, providing robust towing capabilities.

Inside, Ford has modernized the Expedition with a larger touchscreen integrated with Google’s infotainment system and voice commands. Features like BlueCruise hands-free driving, electronic door handles, and wireless charging reflect Ford’s push toward tech-forward functionality. The split tailgate also doubles as a tailgating table, adding versatility for outdoor use.

Although aimed at families and adventure enthusiasts, some critics have noted that Ford’s choice to make certain connectivity features subscription-based might feel restrictive to buyers looking for full functionality without extra fees. The 2025 Expedition is expected to be available at dealerships by early 2025, with pricing anticipated to start around $60,000 and go up for higher trims.
