The Honda XL750 Transalp is a dual-sport motorcycle produced by Honda from 1987 to 2007. It was designed to be a versatile, all-around motorcycle that could handle both on-road and off-road riding, with a focus on long-distance touring.
The XL750 Transalp was powered by a 749cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine that produced around 60 horsepower and 46 lb-ft of torque. It featured a six-speed transmission, a single disc brake on the front wheel, and a drum brake on the rear wheel. The suspension was adjustable for both compression and rebound damping, and the front forks had 200mm of travel.
The XL750 Transalp was known for its comfortable riding position, with a high seat and a fairly upright riding posture. It also had a large fuel tank and a windscreen for touring purposes. In later years, the Transalp received updates such as fuel injection and a more modern instrument cluster.
While the XL750 Transalp was discontinued in 2007, Honda still produces the VFR800X Crossrunner and NC750X models, which share some of the Transalp's dual-sport touring features.
