  • 2017: refreshed with updated interior and exterior styling and a standard CVT; gained a wealth of standard safety features
  • 2018: no notable changes
  • 2019: Corolla hatchback body style debuted, replacing the Corolla iM
  • 2020: sedan fully redesigned; gained standard Apple CarPlay and a stronger optional engine; base engine got a 7-horsepower bump
  • 2021: added standard Android Auto and a stop-start engine feature
