Mercedes invited us down to see the factory that will build 2019 Sprinters for the U.S., and to test out the van on local roads. Seeing how the pickups all have some way of easier access into their beds, the van should have this feature as well. It鈥檚 also the best-selling van in the U.S. UPDATE 2/3/2016, 6:00 p.m.: Honda dealerships in the U.S. The documents show Takata鈥檚 U.S. UPDATE 11/25/2015, 11:00 a.m.: Internal employee communications reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show Takata withheld airbag-inflator failures in reports to Honda in 2000, four years before that automaker began its own initial investigation of a ruptured Takata airbag in a customer car. But depending on how you plan to use the vehicle and for how long, this could be a downsized choice that could save your business a great deal of money and provide convenience over the long haul. Big space, improved fuel efficiency from the optional diesel engine and an impressive maximum payload capacity make the Ram ProMaster a solid choice for lifestyle buyers looking to create a mobile home away from home.

On the test drive the car was in limp home mode with the dash light illuminated. The monster dump truck is wrapped in green and yellow graphics, and uses a light suspension lift for a little more ground clearance and enough protected space for two large, lockable storage bins behind the cab. At NHTSA鈥檚 request, the 11 affected automakers conducted a risk assessment, which found that six million total inflators in the United States 鈥渁re in the highest-risk group that should take top priority for replacement parts,鈥?according to Automotive News, while roughly 11 million are in the middle-priority group and two million are least at risk. The company expressed to NHTSA a concern about the supply of replacement parts, if the Takata recalls are expanded to VW鈥檚 brands, which seems likely at this point. Replacement parts may be available as soon as March or 鈥淨1,鈥?depending on the automaker.

The Ram ProMaster has improved fuel efficiency from the optional diesel engine and an impressive maximum payload capacity of 4,420 pounds. Of all the modern, tall-roof vans, only the Sprinter offers the option of a diesel engine. The 2020 ProMaster is Ram's full-size work van, and it offers the utility and versatility you expect from a vehicle in this segment. But my initial assessment is that this Sprinter is more functional than a pickup as a dedicated work vehicle, and far more refined than any cube truck I've ever driven. Last up are the passenger vans that can carry up to 15 people in the extended 170-inch-wheelbase Sprinter or 12 souls in the smaller 144-inch-wheelbase model.
