Malfunction in HVAC System Due to Broken Actuator Levers
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with any of the below conditions, the cause may be broken actuator levers between the
stepper motor and the respective air distribution flap.
^ Defroster flap does not function correctly
^ Rear air flap does not function correctly

^ No air to the footwell
^ Malfunction of recirculated air / fresh air flap
^ Noise in the air / heater housing
To resolve, inspect the affected flap for a broken actuator lever and replace as necessary. Replacement actuator levers are available as a spare part. It
is not necessary to replace the stepper motor if the actuator lever is found broken.
