Opportunity to join the largest, most competitive rowing program in the Carolinas!
If you have ever wanted your son or daughter to be part of a legendary sports team that builds character and differentiates them when applying to college, then consider the Triangle Rowing Club.
RALEIGH, NC – August 8, 2017 – Triangle Rowing Club (TRC), the area’s largest youth rowing program, is holding their free Fall “Sneak Peek Week” Tuesday, August 28 through Saturday, September 2 at Lake Wheeler Park, 6404 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh.
“Every Spring and Fall season we hold a Sneak Peek Week to offer students age 12-18 the chance to get in the boats and learn how to row,” said TRC Head Coach Will White. “Each day during Sneak Peak Week, interested students and parents can talk to our rowers, coaches, and parents and find out why rowing is such an incredible sport,” he said. “We welcome rowers of all abilities, from novice to experienced, for a fun, safe, and positive experience,” White stressed.
Tuesday, August 28 through Friday, September 1 sessions will be held 3:30-6:00 p.m. The Saturday, September 2 session is 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sneak Peek Week participants will need to register online and complete an online liability form before they row. A meeting for parents of returning and new rowers will be held the morning of September 2 at Lake Wheeler.
Registration and information are on the TRC website at www.trianglerowing.org/sneak-peek-week
“Triangle Rowing Club’s membership keeps growing, as does the sport’s popularity in the South,” Coach White noted. “TRC is looking to bring in a new group of athletes that will push our program to record numbers.” Team history was made last Fall when they raced to their first Head of the Hooch medal, the second largest regatta in the US and beat last year’s medal count overall. “We hope to see the program's growth translate into an even stronger showing at this season’s regattas.”
