Signature elements like the clamshell hood, broad roof held up by thin pillars (well, they at least look thin, since they are blacked out to hide them from view) and fastback rear glass join with the more-recent vertical vents behind the front wheels and intricately detailed grille insert to make this latest Rover immediately recognizable. We've gushed over the biggestLand Rover several times, praising this latest generation's powerful engines, luxurious interiors, and ability to climb both mountainsides and social ladders all while looking fantastic. Land Rover has made the system smarter and quicker, reading the wheels and body motions with sensors aplenty and processing all that data into the proper amounts of wheel articulation while sending torque to the wheel with the most available traction.
Forgive us for regaling you with these descriptors yet again, but when it comes to the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover, there simply aren't any words in the English language that can be applied to this sport utility vehicle that are as accurate and forceful as legendary and iconic. Your experience behind the wheel also comes into play, as drivers who have been on the road a lot are less likely to cause an accident. Directly behind the steering wheel is another screen measuring a full 12.3 inches and housing the twin digital gauges along with trip information and cool bits of data reminding you how you've configured the numerous drivetrain functions. The spec sheet says interior clutter has been reduced by 50 percent, but it feels like way more than that when sitting behind the wheel. The interior is much less imposing for 2013 compared to the button-heavy 2012 model, but again, part of the Range Rover's charm may have been lost in the process of modernization. With all these upgrades, especially in terms of connectivity and variability, we expect that the new Sprinter for much better commercial fleet compared to its predecessors. Those were the words of Andrew Polsinelli, Land Rover North America's head of product planning, to our own Jonathon Ramsey when describing how current Range Rover owners drove the product development team at the Indian-owned-yet-still-very-British-feeling automaker for 2013. The only problem with that directive is that "better" can mean different things to different people - do you want the Range Rover to drive better on the road, or do you want it to enhance its legendary off-roading capabilities?
The 2013 Land Rover Range Rover is an attractive SUV that will never be mistaken for anything else - it just doesn't bludgeon its 'I'm better than you' ethos into our retinas quite like the last Range Rover did. It's incredible how many buttons, dials and switches Land Rover was able to delete. Combined with 10.2 inches of suspension travel up front and 12.2 inches out back, the 2013 Range Rover can scurry up and over just about any obstacle in its way. Land Rover says its 2013 Range Rover weighs in at 4,850 pounds. There still isn't a more luxurious place in the world to experience all that the beaten path hides from plain sight, but the more industrial look of the last-gen Range Rover somehow appeals to our inner senses and insensibilities. Much of the Range Rover's legendary status comes from that fact that it has proven time and time again to be the most extraordinarily capable production SUV in the world, and for 2013, it's more functional than ever before.

Circuit/System Description
Modules connected to the CAN bus serial data circuits monitor for serial data communications during normal vehicle operation. Operating
information and commands are exchanged among the modules. The modules have prerecorded information about what messages are needed to be
exchanged on the serial data circuits. The messages are supervised and also, some periodic messages are used by the receiver module as an
availability indication of the transmitter module. Each message contains the identification number of the transmitter module.
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) activates the other modules connected to the CAN serial data circuits by applying voltage when the
ignition key is in ACC, ON or START. The EBCM, Yaw Rate and Lateral Acceleration Sensor are the only modules connected to the CAN bus
serial data circuits. For more information on CAN bus serial data refer to Data Link Communications Description and Operation (See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Description and Operation).
Conditions for Running the DTC
* The system voltage is between 9-16 volts.

The 2012 SLK55 AMG complies with the current Euro-5 emission standard, as well as meeting all the requirements of the US market (LEV-III standard, On- Board Diagnosis II). The new Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is able to offer both. A framed "ECO" symbol in the AMG main menu shows the driver that the Controlled Efficiency stop/start function is active. The automatic rev-matching function when downshifting as well as the brief, precisely defined interruption of ignition and injection when upshifting under full load shorten shift times and increase emotional appeal. Other changes include a new grille, 16- and 17-inch rims, improved interior materials, and a nine-speed gearbox to replace the seven-speed automatic. The seven-speed automatic is the only gearbox on the market with the V6.

The company owns a Mercedes-Benz driving academy, where it educates teen drives for public safety. It鈥檚 found by Mr. Karl Benz who established the company in 1871 then Mr.Gottlieb Daimler, Mr. Wilhelm May Bach where involved on establishing the division of Mercedes Benz. The main focus of the sound design was to achieve a perfect synthesis of perceptible performance and the long-distance comfort that is a hallmark of Mercedes. The camshafts are driven by three high-performance silent chains, which have considerable advantages in terms of noise comfort compared with cylinder roller chains.
A double turbine torsional damper with centrifugal pendulum adapts to engine speed and helps minimize vibrations in four-cylinder operation as well as enhances comfort. At low loads and engine speeds below 2,000 rpm the flaps remain closed. When the driver accelerates, the flaps open at an angle of 15, then 30 and up to 50 degrees so that some of the exhaust gases cover a short distance while the remaining follow the longer, acoustically dampened path producing a sonorous engine note. Under full load at higher engine speeds in eight-cylinder mode, both flaps are fully opened so that the occupants are able to enjoy the distinct muscular sound typical of an AMG V8. Get into the cockpit and there are few steps before you can fire up the engine. If required, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Mobility can be tailored to fulfil a host of applications. The efficiency of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van begins with its cabin.

The Controlled Efficiency stop/start function further contributes to the low fuel consumption. Similar in design and function to the system used on the Z06, the dual-mode exhaust uses vacuum-actuated outlet valves, which control engine noise during low-load operation, but open for maximum performance during high-load operation. Low exhaust emissions, compliance with country-specific standards and a characteristic engine sound - the requirements for the exhaust system of the new, naturally aspirated AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine were multiple and complex. The crankcase of the new AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine features a diecast allaluminum construction. As honing would no longer be possible with the cylinder head installed, a jig resembling spectacles is bolted to the crankcase.

These are all temporary conditions and should never be interpreted as an intermittent fault, causing you to replace a part.
* A control module may have a U-code stored in history that does not require any repairs. Issues with late or corrupted messages between
control modules can be temporary with no apparent symptom or complaint; this does not mean the control module is faulty. Do not replace a
control module based only on a history U-code.
* Do not replace a control module reporting a U-code. The U-code identifies which control module needs to be diagnosed for a communication
issue.
* Communication may be available between the BCM and the scan tool with either the low or high speed GMLAN serial data system
inoperative. This condition is due to the BCM using both the low and high speed GMLAN systems.
* Use to determine if the module uses high or low speed GMLAN serial data communications.
* Some control modules may not have internal protection for specific control circuits and may open a B+ or ignition fuse. If a fuse is open and
the B+ or ignition circuit is not shorted to ground, ensure none of the control circuits are shorted to ground before replacing the control
module.
* This diagnostic can be used for any control module that is not communicating, regardless of the type of serial data circuit it is connected to,
providing the vehicle is equipped with the control module.

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the yaw rate sensor.
2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the module voltage circuit and ground.
瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the
EBCM.
3. Ignition OFF, test for less than 5 ohms between the module ground circuits and ground.

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the yaw rate sensor.
2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the module voltage circuit and ground.
瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the
EBCM.
3. Ignition OFF, test for less than 5 ohms between the module ground circuits and ground.
瀚慖f greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.

1. Ensure the transmission fluid temperature is between 50-80掳C (122-176掳F).
2. Operate the vehicle in 2nd gear long enough to ensure at least a 3掳C (5掳F) rise in transmission fluid temperature, then operate the vehicle in
Park for 5 s.
3. Observe the scan tool Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 Current parameter, the reading should be between 0.1-1.1 A.
Circuit/System Testing
Command the Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 with a scan tool. The value should change from 0.0-1.0 A.
If the value does not change, turn ignition OFF, remove the K71 Transmission Control Module. Connect a test lamp between the low reference
circuit terminal 18 X2 at the K71 Transmission Control Module and the voltage supply component circuit terminal 17 X2 at the K71 Transmission
Control Module. Command the Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 with a scan tool. The test lamp has to illuminate brighter with increasing
current.
If the test lamp always illuminate or always does not illuminate, replace the K71 Transmission Control Module.

1. Ignition OFF, remove the K71 Transmission Control Module.
2. Test for 5-5.6 ohm at 20掳C (68掳F) between the low reference circuit terminal 18 X2 and the voltage supply circuit terminal 17 X2.

Solenoid Valve 2.
3. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the low reference circuit terminal 18 X2 and also to the voltage supply circuit terminal

Circuit/System Description
Modules connected to the CAN bus serial data circuits monitor for serial data communications during normal vehicle operation. Operating
information and commands are exchanged among the modules. The modules have prerecorded information about what messages are needed to be
exchanged on the serial data circuits. The messages are supervised and also, some periodic messages are used by the receiver module as an
availability indication of the transmitter module. Each message contains the identification number of the transmitter module.
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) activates the other modules connected to the CAN serial data circuits by applying voltage when the
ignition key is in ACC, ON or START. The EBCM, Yaw Rate and Lateral Acceleration Sensor are the only modules connected to the CAN bus
serial data circuits. For more information on CAN bus serial data refer to Data Link Communications Description and Operation (See: Powertrain

Circuit/System Description
Modules connected to the CAN bus serial data circuits monitor for serial data communications during normal vehicle operation. Operating
information and commands are exchanged among the modules. The modules have prerecorded information about what messages are needed to be
exchanged on the serial data circuits. The messages are supervised and also, some periodic messages are used by the receiver module as an
availability indication of the transmitter module. Each message contains the identification number of the transmitter module.
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) activates the other modules connected to the CAN serial data circuits by applying voltage when the
ignition key is in ACC, ON or START. The EBCM, Yaw Rate and Lateral Acceleration Sensor are the only modules connected to the CAN bus
serial data circuits. For more information on CAN bus serial data refer to Data Link Communications Description and Operation (See: Powertrain

* A control module may have a U-code stored in history that does not require any repairs. Issues with late or corrupted messages between
control modules can be temporary with no apparent symptom or complaint; this does not mean the control module is faulty. Do not replace a
control module based only on a history U-code.
* Do not replace a control module reporting a U-code. The U-code identifies which control module needs to be diagnosed for a communication
issue.
* Communication may be available between the BCM and the scan tool with either the low or high speed GMLAN serial data system
inoperative. This condition is due to the BCM using both the low and high speed GMLAN systems.
* Use to determine if the module uses high or low speed GMLAN serial data communications.
* Some control modules may not have internal protection for specific control circuits and may open a B+ or ignition fuse. If a fuse is open and
the B+ or ignition circuit is not shorted to ground, ensure none of the control circuits are shorted to ground before replacing the control
module.
* This diagnostic can be used for any control module that is not communicating, regardless of the type of serial data circuit it is connected to,
providing the vehicle is equipped with the control module.
