DTC P0606 runs continuously when the engine speed is greater than 1,200 RPM.
P06D1
* The engine is running.
* The engine speed is less than 5,000 RPM.
* The battery voltage is between 10-18 V.
* DTC P06D1 runs continuously when the above conditions are met.
P2610
DTC P2610 runs continuously when the engine speed is greater than 240 RPM.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The ECM detects an internal failure or incomplete or incorrect programming.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* DTCs P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0610, P0614, P0630, P160D, and P160E are Type A DTCs.
* DTCs P06D1 and P2610 are Type B DTCs.
* DTC P161C is a Type C DTC.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* DTCs P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0610, P0614, P0630, P160D, and P160E are Type A DTCs.
* DTCs P06D1 and P2610 are Type B DTCs.
* DTC P161C is a Type C DTC.
Diagnostic Aids
Low voltage or a momentary loss of power or ground to the ECM may cause a DTC to set. Verify the following:
* The battery cables are clean and tight, and the battery is fully charged. Refer to Battery Inspection/Test (See: Starting and Charging/Testing
and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Battery Inspection/Test).
* The ECM ground circuits do not have an open or high resistance.
* The ECM power circuits do not have an open, short to ground, or high resistance.
