"Transmission Fault" Displayed with DTC P0826-62 Stored



AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:



CONDITION SUMMARY:



Situation:



The instrument cluster message center may display Transmission Fault and the paddle shift controls may be inoperative along with Diagnostic



Trouble Code (DTC) P0826-62 stored in the Transmission Control Module CFCM). This may be caused by the TCM receiving a Sport / Manual



signal from the transmission gear selector mechanism while the shift lever is still in the Park (P) position, usually occurring when the ignition is



switched ON or during engine start-up.



Action:



In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace the transmission gear selector lever



assembly.

REPAIR PROCEDURE



REPLACE TRANSMISSION GEAR SELECTOR LEVER ASSEMBLY



NOTE:



Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:



GTR Home > NAS > Model > Service Information > Model Year



1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 304-05A and replace the transmission gear selector lever assembly.
