assembly and the drive motor generator assembly that corresponds to the set DTC.

瀚慖f less than infinite is measured, continue with Circuit/System Testing.

4. Remove the 3-phase cable assembly from the transmission. Refer to Generator Control Module 3-Phase Cable Assembly Replacement ().

Ensure the terminals are not contacting chassis ground.

5. Retest the resistance to ground for each phase of the 3-phase cable. Measure between the following points with a DMM.

* Phase U terminal and chassis ground

* Phase V terminal and chassis ground

* Phase W terminal and chassis ground

瀚慖f infinite resistance is measured, replace the applicable drive motor generator.

瀚慖f less than infinite is measured, replace the generator control module 3-phase cable assembly.

DTC Descriptor

DTC P0A80

- Replace Hybrid Battery Pack

Circuit/System Description

The drive motor generator battery control module will diagnose its own systems and determine when a fault condition is present. Diagnostics and

system status is communicated from the drive motor generator battery control module to the drive motor generator control module through serial

data. The drive motor generator control module is the host controller for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information.

The drive motor generator battery control module measures the internal hybrid battery resistance across the high voltage battery string and in pairs.

If the internal resistance values are out of range at a given battery temperature, this DTC will set. Higher internal resistance will also increase

battery temperature.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The ignition is ON.

* The 12 V battery voltage is 9-18 V.

* Hybrid battery current is -70 to +100 A.

* Hybrid battery temperature is -10 to +50掳C (14-22掳F).

Conditions for Setting the DTC

One of the following conditions exists for 10 minutes:

* Hybrid battery pack calculated hybrid battery resistance is greater than the value specified in Drive Motor Generator Battery End of Life

Resistance ().

* Hybrid battery resistance is greater than the value specified in Drive Motor Generator Battery End of Life Resistance ().
