If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the floor mat hook (Figure 1, circle) in the driver's side floor covering is damaged or
broken, do not replace the entire floor covering. The hook is available as a separate part and can be easily installed without removing the entire floor
covering. Floor coverings replaced for this complaint after January 13, 2005 will be debited.
1. Remove floor mat.
2. Pull up on exposed portion of damaged hook (Figure 1, arrow) to unclip old hook.
3. Remove old hook through the rear opening in floor covering.
4. Insert replacement hook through the rear opening in floor covering.
5. Support lower front section of replacement hook by inserting a small screwdriver (Figure 2) in the front opening in floor covering.
6. Press down on the upper front portion of the replacement hook to clip the upper and lower portions together.
