The Mercedes-AMG G 65 Final Edition. Powerful and refined. To mark the discontinuation of the Mercedes-AMG G 65 (fuel consumption, combined: 17 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 397 g/km) AMG is offering an exclusive Final Edition, limited to just 65 examples worldwide.
The 2018 Mercedes Benz G 65 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 engine that produces about 621 hp of power at 5000 rpm and a massive 738 lb-ft of torque at 2300 rpm. The engine is paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission which directs all the power to the rear wheels.
In addition, the carbon-fiber trim throughout the interior, features a light brown weave. Occupants up front get heated and ventilated seats. Like the rest of the G65 range, the Final Edition uses a 6.0-liter biturbo V12 with 621 horsepower (463 kilowatts) and 738 pound-feet (1,000 Newton-meters) of torque.
The changes to the G63 and G65 are minimal for 2017. Mercedes-AMG redesigned the instrument cluster and added the Parktronic parking assistant, Distronic Plus adaptive cruise-control system, and blind-spot monitoring to the list of standard equipment. Minor exterior changes are barely noticeable. Find your perfect ride!
Two renowned legacies of handcraftsmanship unite in the G 63: The globe-tested endurance of the G-Class, and the track-proven performance of AMG. The G 63 reasserts that timelessness can be delivered with a true sense of urgency. A race that knows no finish line.

Interior and Technology. Adding to the G-class's off-road chops, the interior is all about luxury and offers more space for people and cargo than the previous generation. The large infotainment display is borrowed from elsewhere in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Standard features include heated front and rear seats with leather upholstery,...
And a low-profile brush guard, in polished stainless steel, or gloss or matte black, is an AMG exclusive. The world at your fingertips, and your thumbs. The AMG Performance steering wheel features intuitive Touch Control Buttons and a 12 o'clock band.
No major changes have been made to the 2014 Mercedes G-Wagen after it received a new interior and an enhanced exterior last year. One word best describes the Mercedes-Benz G-Class: extreme. Fit for use as a military vehicle, the 2014 G-Class is among the most capable SUVs ever created.
An Audi Q5, Mercedes M-Class or BMW X5 offers kinder road manners and better fuel economy (especially diesel models) at less than half the cost. What's New? No major changes have been made to the 2014 Mercedes G-Wagen after it received a new interior and an enhanced exterior last year. One word best describes the Mercedes-Benz G-Class: extreme.
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is just over $115,000 for the G550 and tops $136,000 for the G63 AMG. At these prices, the G-Class is among the highest-priced SUVs available.
Two V8 engine choices are available in the 2014 G-Class. The G550 uses a naturally aspirated (non-turbo) 5.5-liter V8 that makes a robust 382 horsepower, while the G63 AMG ups the ante with a twin-turbocharged version that makes a thundering 536 horsepower.

Specifications. 2019 Mercedes-Benz G550. VEHICLE TYPE front-engine, all-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door hatchback. PRICE AS TESTED $146,795 (base price: $125,495)
The G550 is powered by a twin-turbo V-8 making 416 horsepower; all-wheel drive is standard and the engine shuttles its power through a nine-speed automatic. Mercedes-Benz claims a 5.5-second zero-to-60-mph time, but if that's not fast enough for you, check out the Mercedes-AMG G63, which we review separately.
For what you get, the G-Class certainly is not up to the standards of other $100,000-plus Mercedes-Benz products. The G-Class is almost a caricature of an idealized SUV experience. There's power and authority to spare, and the view over the hood is like nothing else on the market right now.
