Lamborghini Aventador Vs. Lamborghini Huracan

Lamborghini never stops outdoing itself. Now there is a friendly battle between its two popular car models - the Aventador and the Huracan. Which do you think is the better of the two? There is no better way than to compare them in a detailed manner. Technology is different from performance although performance is heavily dependent on the technology utilized by the car. The V12 Aventador and the V10 Huracan are very close when it comes to performance, although the former has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.8 kg/PS as compared to the Huracan at 2.7 kg/PS. Their numbers are really that close. Both car models have naturally-aspirated engines, but their transmissions are very different from each other. The Aventador, however, is known for its ultra-violent shifts. It has an all-new gearbox and this is not the typical double clutch machine that Lamborghini is using. It is called Independent Shift Rods or ISR. Basically, it follows the principle of a double clutch transmission where the next gear is engaged before the car shifts into it.

But this time, a single clutch is used. On the other hands, the 610 Huracan uses a double clutch transmission. It is actually the first car produced with such transmission making it the most manageable Lamborghini model ever made. The Huracan LP610-4 can sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (0 - 62 miles per hour) from 2.6 to 3.2 seconds only. On the other hand, the Aventador LP700-4 can do the same distance in about 2.8 to 3.1 seconds. The time range is given because the results produced in testing a car鈥檚 acceleration rate is dependent on a variety of conditions. If your Lamborghini does not produce the same results, it is not because of a deficiency in the car. On longer test runs, such as from zero to 200 km/h, the Huracan completes the distance from 9.2 to 10.3 seconds. The Aventador, on the other hand, is able to negotiate the distance from 8.5 to 9.8 seconds. At this longer distance, the difference between the torque of the two cars manifests.

The Huracan has 560 Nm and 413 lb.-ft. Aventador has 690 Nm and 509 lb.-ft. Tested from zero to 300 kilometers per hour, the Huracan took from 27.6 to 29.6 seconds to complete while the Aventador is faster, requiring only 23.9 to 25.8 seconds. The maximum speed that the Huracan can achieve is between 325 and 332 km/h or about 202 to 206 miles per hour. On the other hand, the Aventador鈥檚 top speed is rated between 342 and 354 km/h or 212 to 220 mph. When it comes to braking power, the Huracan can be brought to a full stop from 100 km/h in between 30.5 seconds and 35.8 meters. It will take the Aventador from 31.6 to 38.5 meters to stop at the same speed. On the test track, the Huracan feels lighter and more nimble than the Aventador, obviously because of the former has a lesser power to weight ratio. However, the lap time difference depends on the configuration of the circuit, and is therefore limited in scope.

On the road however, the Aventador鈥檚 ride quality is better. This is primarily the reason why the Aventador remains to be a favorite in the street, while the Huracan is preferred in the race circuit. Being made by Lamborghini, the two cars deliver the classic devilish driving experience in two different manners. For instance, the Aventador鈥檚 Independent Shift Rods single-clutch automated manual rocks the whole car when upshifting in Corsa mode. But the Huracan has a more controlled and refined movement. Its proprietary Lamborghini Doppia Frizione double-clutch transmission provides a more seamless transition and thus a smoother and less stressful ride quality. When you see an Aventador cruising on the road, it commands attention. It seems that a leader has suddenly arrived and commands every other car on the road to get behind it. However, the Huracan carries with it an element of freshness. It has barely penetrated certain markets including the United States in its coupe form. Therefore you can expect a lot of surprises when it does. There are some sleek elements in the Huracan that mystifies people because its sleek style disagrees with its flamboyant character. And there鈥檚 a marked difference between their prices. The Aventador is about 30 per cent more expensive than the Huracan. 223K), also including VAT. 380k. The price variation belies the difference in engine size and some of the specific powertrain features. No matter what car you choose, these two Lamborghinis will give you the best that a car could provide.
