瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the low control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal,
replace the K20 ECM.
7. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the G18 high pressure fuel pump.
Component Testing
Static Test
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the G18 high pressure fuel pump.
Note: The DMM and test leads must be calibrated to 0 ohm in order to prevent misdiagnosis.
2. Test for 9-11 ohm at 25掳C (77掳F) between the low control circuit terminal 1 and the high control circuit terminal 2.
瀚慖f not within the specified range, replace the G18 high pressure fuel pump.
3. Measure the resistance between each terminal and the high pressure fuel pump housing. The DMM should display OL.
瀚慖f less than the specified value, replace the G18 high pressure fuel pump.

Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
The mass air flow (MAF) sensor is located in the air intake duct. The MAF sensor is an airflow meter that measures the amount of air that enters the
engine. The MAF sensor uses a hot film that is cooled by air flowing past the sensing film as air enters the engine. The amount of cooling is
proportional to the amount of the air flow. As the air flow increases, more current is required in order to maintain the hot film at a constant
temperature. The engine control module (ECM) uses the MAF sensor in order to provide the correct fuel delivery for all operating conditions.
