E-Class Interior

E-Class Interior
How Many People Does the E-Class Seat?
Seating capacity varies with body style. Coupes and cabriolets seat four, and leather upholstery comes standard. The sedan accommodates five on MB-Tex synthetic leather seats. Wagon models feature a rear-facing jump seat and have room for up to seven people. Power-adjustable front seats are standard throughout the lineup.

Available upgrades include upgraded leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated front armrests, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, a power rear-window sunshade, and soft-close doors.

The E-Class boasts a comfortable interior with sumptuous, supportive seats. The sedan and wagon are roomy, but taller adults may feel pinched in the back seat of coupes and convertibles.

E-Class and Child Car Seats
The E-Class has two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats, and some models have an additional upper tether for the rear middle seat. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the LATCH system in this Mercedes is easy to use.

E-Class Interior Quality
Modeled after the super luxury Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the E-Class has a high-end cabin adorned with luxurious touches like real wood trim. A sunroof is standard, and a panoramic roof is available.

E-Class Cargo Space
Cargo space varies according to body type. The E-Class sedan has 13.1 cubic feet of trunk room, the E-Class coupe has 10 cubic feet, and the cabriolet has 9.5 cubic feet. Nearly every other luxury midsize car has more room than that. On the other hand, the E-Class wagon has a cavernous 35 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 64 cubic feet with them folded down.

E-Class Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation
Standard equipment in the E-Class includes a 12.3-inch display, the COMAND infotainment system with a touchpad controller, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, two USB ports, Bluetooth, and HD Radio.

Available tech upgrades include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, 13- and 23-speaker Burmester stereos, wireless device charging, a 115-volt household-style power outlet, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic roof.

The display lacks touch capability. Instead, the infotainment system is controlled by a console-mounted touchpad and knob. You can also use the steering-wheel mounted controls. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but the system is easy to use.
