Circuit/System Testing
1. Engine running, accessories OFF, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals. The voltage should be between 12.6 and
15.0 V.
瀚慖f the battery voltage is not within the specified range, refer to Charging System Test (See: Starting and Charging/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Charging System Test).
2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors of the appropriate control module.
3. Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 Ohms between the ground
circuit terminals listed below and ground:
* Terminal 16 X2, K26 Headlamp control module
* Terminal D, K85 Passenger presence detection module
* Terminal A X1, K29F Seat heating control module (front)
* Terminal A X1, K29R Seat heating control module (rear)
* Terminal 10 X1, P16 Instrument cluster
* Terminal 7 X1, K41 Parking assist control module
* Terminal 2 X2, K84 Keyless entry control module
* Terminal 6 X2, K84 Keyless entry control module
* Terminal 8 A13, K40 Rear audio control module
* Terminal 6 X4, K40 Seat memory control module
* Terminal 38 X1, A11 Radio
* Terminal 19 X1, K36 Inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module
* Terminal 6, K60 Steering column lock control module
* Terminal 7, K60 Steering column lock control module
* Terminal 1 X2, K101 Trailer interface control module
* Terminal 2, K82 Module telephone control module
* Terminal 11 X1, T11 Multimedia player interface module
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
4. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:
* Terminal 18 X2, K26 Headlamp control module
* Terminal A, K85 Passenger presence detection module
* Terminal B X1, K29F Seat heating control module (front)
* Terminal B X1, K29R Seat heating control module (rear)
* Terminal 19, P16 Instrument cluster
* Terminal 20, P16 Instrument cluster
* Terminal 1 X1, K41 Parking assist control module
