1. Verify that DTC B0052 00 is not set.

瀚慖f DTC is set, clear the DTC.

2. Verify that DTC B0052 56 is not set.

瀚慖f DTC is set, replace the K36 SDM.

- Transmission Range Indicator Internal Malfunction

Circuit/System Description

The body control module (BCM) receives LIN-Bus messages from the transmission range indicator module. If there is a checksum or memory

malfunction in the transmission range indicator module it broadcast this message to the BCM.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition ON

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The BCM detects a checksum or memory fault in the transmission range indicator module.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The driver information center does not display the actual gear selector position.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The DTC becomes history when the condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.
