Run and Crank/On and Start Power Circuit is more than 2.5 volts.

B1453 06

Run and Crank/On and Start Power Circuit is less than 2.5 volts.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC B1453 is a Type C DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTC B1453 is a Type C DTC.

Diagnostic Aids

Many controllers such as the power inverter module (PIM), transmission control module (TCM), and inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic

module (SDM) will set a DTC for a problem with the Run and Crank/On and Start Power Voltage circuit. Confirm that they do not have DTCs

before only investigating the SDGM.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the SDGM harness connector X2 at the SDGM, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the ignition

circuit terminal 20 and ground.

瀚慖f the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit terminal 20 for a short to voltage.

2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 20 and ground.

瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

3. If all circuits test normal, replace the SDGM.
