Circuit/System Description

The parking assist system can be disabled by pressing the parking assist disable switch. When the parking assist system is disabled the object alarm

module will ground the parking assist disable indicator control circuit, illuminating the indicator.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* DTC B1325 is not set

* Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The object alarm module detects the parking assist disable indicator control circuit is shorted to ground, shorted to voltage or open.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* The parking assist system is disabled.

* The object alarm module sends a serial data message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display SERVICE PARK ASSIST message in

the driver information center (DIC).

Conditions for Clearing

* The DTC will transition to history when the fault is no longer present.

* A history DTC will clear after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles.

Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Park Assist Switch LED parameter while pressing and releasing the park assist disable switch. The parameter

should change between On and Off.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the I/P multifunction switch.

2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the appropriate ignition circuit listed below and ground:

* RPO X88/Z88 ignition circuit terminal 6

* RPO Z75 ignition circuit terminal 4

瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
