* The engine speed is 500 RPM or greater for 5 seconds.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P0711 Condition 1
* Vehicle speed is 8 km/h (5 mph) or greater for 5 minutes.
* TCC slip speed is 150 RPM or greater.
* The TFT is between -50掳C and +21掳C (-58掳F and +70掳F) at start up.
* The TFT has changed by less than 2.0掳C (3.6掳F) in 2 minutes.
* The ECT is 70掳C (158掳F) or greater.
* The ECT has increased by 55掳C (99掳F) since start-up.
Condition 2
* Vehicle speed is 8 km/h (5 mph) or greater for 5 minutes.
* TCC slip speed is 120 RPM or greater for 5 minutes.
* The TFT is between 129-170掳C (264-507掳F).
* The TFT has changed by less than 2.0掳C (3.6掳F) in 2 minutes.
* The ECT is 70掳C (158掳F) or greater.
* The ECT has increased by 55掳C (99掳F) since start-up.
Condition 3
The TFT changes by 20掳C (36掳F) or greater 5 times over 7 seconds.
Condition 4
The TFT has not changed more than 20掳C (36掳F) during the following conditions:
* The TFT temperature at start up is -50掳C (-58掳F) for 42 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -25掳C (-13掳F) for 17 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -10掳C (14掳F) for 14 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -5掳C (23掳F) for 9 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is 20掳C (68掳F) for 4 minutes.
P0712
The TFT is -74掳C (-101掳F) or less for 13 seconds or more.
P0713
The TFT is 174掳C (345掳F) or greater for 10 seconds or more.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* DTCs P0711, P0712, and P0713 are Type C DTCs.
* The TCM freezes transmission adaptive functions.
* The TCM allows the vehicle to operate in transmission protection mode.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P0711, P0712, and P0713 are Type C DTCs.
Diagnostic Aids
During a road test, the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) should steadily increase to a normal operating temperature, and then stabilize.
