If 5-mm spacers are used, the wheels must be secured using the 5-mm longer wheel bolts used on the 911 GT3, Part No. 996.361.203.90.

These wheel bolts are marked with GT or with a red color on the front of the bolt head (arrow) or the rotating spherical cap is galvanized in red.

Length "X" approx. 50 mm

Tightening Torque 130 Nm (96 ftlb.)

If the spacer is removed, the original wheel bolts, Length "X" approx. 45 mm, must be used again.

The 17-mm wheel spacers are mounted on the wheel hubs using the standard wheel bolts. Part No. 996.361.203.00/01 (dimension X = approx. 45

mm). Tightening torque: 130 Nm (96 ftlb.). The wheels are mounted on the 17-mm spacer rings using wheel nuts. Part No. 999.182.003.36.

Tightening torque: 130 Nm (96 ftlb.).

The 17-mm spacer ring must be removed when mounting the spare wheel.

Fitting clip for parking-brake cable:

When fitting 10 J x 18 wheels, a clip (Part No. 999.651.230.02) must be fitted in order to secure the parking-brake cable at the longitudinal struts at

the left and right. This prevents the parking-brake cable from touching the tires.

Checking clearance on the rear axle:

There must be a gap of at least 5 mm between the outside of the tire and the fender seam when compressed. If this gap is smaller, move the rear

axle camber towards positive. The adjustment value must be between the following tolerance values:

Standard chassis: -1 degree 20' and -0 degrees 50'

Sports chassis: -1 degree 30' and -1 degree

All other adjustment values for suspension alignment remain unchanged except for the vehicle height tolerance of the rear axle.

Navigation Systems:

After a wheel or tire change, the full locating accuracy is attained only after a trip of approx. 30 miles (50 km), if possible on a highway and at a

speed > 40 mph (60 km/h). Additionally, a high wheel slip factor (e.g. wheel spin on snow) can result in temporary incorrect positioning.

TPM Tire Pressure Monitoring System:

New wheels must be equipped with wheel transmitters for Tire Pressure Monitoring.

Check battery charge status of wheel transmitters before changing tires.

Switch off ignition when changing a wheel.

If the properties of the new tires do not correspond to the settings in the on-board computer, a message is displayed.
