Ford Mustang Mach 1 1969

Ford Mustang Mach 1 1969

Hi, my name is Mark and this website is a dedicated to my 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. I bought this car in March 2017. It is finished in Ford Black Jade paint with black upholstery. The Mustang is a matching numbers car and has a 351 Windsor V8 4 barrel M code as it left the factory. It has been modified with an Edelbrock 1406 Performer carb and a Flowmaster exhaust system. The car has spent most of it's life in Arizona and was imported to the UK in 2012. Since then it has spent it's time in a heated garage near Glasgow with a careful Owner. I was told about the car by a Mustang Specialist in Glasgow called Javed. He has many years of experience with classic Mustangs and kindly inspecting the car for me. After a thorough inspection, he described the Mach 1 as an original survivior car and in time warp condition. No rust, original floorpans, original suspension and FMX transmission.

The car was issued with a new MOT and I purchased the car. Tornado Automotive in High Wycombe serviced the car. Mike commented about the Mustangs great original condition. Since I have owned the car I have added wider 15x8 Magnum 500 wheels on the rear and BF Goodrich 235/60r15s tyres on the front and 255/60r15s on the rear. The paintwork was looking very flat, as it had oxidised in the Californian sun over many years and lost it's colour and shine. So I had the paint restored by Hailey Specialist Cars in Shiplake, Oxfordshire. They spent 2 days machine polishing the paint with compound and sympathetically bringing the paint back to life. I also fitted some period show plates as the original plates didn't look in keeping with the car. I also bought a full set of new black Mustang mats for the car, to protect the original carpet.

This coming from a non Telsa owner. I agree it's fairly ugly, but then so is the Model Y. In terms of looks and image this doesn't deserve the Mustang name. Was pretty obvious when the little piggy was standing next to the actual Mustangs. Would be nice if they had a coupe version too for those of us who aren't part of the SUV craze. But apart from the exterior it seems to be a great EV that checks the right boxes. I just wish they had talked more about the car instead of bringing a Hollywood actor and a choir on the stage. For example, they mentioned in passing that the car will get "handsfree driving" via an OTA upgrade, but then never mentioned it again. 47 miles of range added in 10 minutes using a 150 kW charger can't be right, unless if the vehicle's efficiency is 532 Wh per mile or it can't charge at 150 kW. 150 kW of power is 25 kWh added in 10 minutes, and 25 Wh consumed in 47 miles is an average of 532 Wh.

If the car's efficiency is rated at 350 Wh/mi, it would take 16.45 kWh to travel 10 minutes, making it an average of 98.7 kW of charging. Guess the question is, would I buy this over the Y? As of now its a resounding NO. I just see Tesla as being so far in front in the EV market. Once their customer service comes around I can't see how a manufacturer starting 6 years behind can catch up within the next 3-5 years. This coming from a non Telsa owner. I was an inline model 3 reservation holder. Awesome time to have these EV chioces! That reveal was appalling. I think Mach E looks cool, especially the interior, but horrible presentation with absolutely no valuable information. Basically just a 鈥渉ey look we copied Tesla a bunch just to say we are in this whole electric craze- alright cya! Oh yeah and it鈥檚 a Mustang too, believe us! Just surfed the reservation page and it is MORE money than Model Y with no super charging network. 50Kish. Premium electric brand for less than a conventional middle of the road automaker? Good luck with that proposition. Don鈥檛 care about tax credit either! No, create an account now. Formed in 2006, Tesla Motors Club (TMC) was the first independent online Tesla community. Ever since the original Mustang took the world by storm in 1964, it quickly came to represent the best of the American spirit: Freedom, progress, fast performance and a touch of rebellion. Now, Mustang is ready to reimagine these ideas for a powerful electric future, with space for customers鈥?growing needs and advanced over-the-air updates that continue to improve the vehicle. 鈥淎t the first-ever Detroit auto show, Henry Ford said he was working on something that would strike like forked lightning,鈥?said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company. 鈥淭hat was the Model T. Today, the Ford Motor Company is proud to unveil a car that strikes like forked lightning all over again. The all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E. It鈥檚 fast. It鈥檚 fun. Developed in a century-old brick building a few blocks away from Henry Ford鈥檚 first factory in Detroit, Ford brought the Mustang Mach-E to life through a development process concentrated entirely on customer needs and desires. The result is a sleek, beautiful SUV that delivers spirited ride and handling, with state-of-the-art connected vehicle technology that makes Mach-E even better over time.
