Will Ford's Mustang-Inspired Electric 'Mach E' Beat The Tesla Model Y?
Ford has been talking about electrification for some time. However, much more recently, the automaker has really moved forward with touting its electric future. Soon, Ford will officially unveil its Mustang-inspired all-electric crossover at the upcoming LA Auto Show, which is clearly designed to compete with Tesla. Why a crossover based on a Mustang? As you have seen from very earlier renders, a Mustang SUV could turn out to be pretty strange. However, that's not likely the case. The "Mach E" has the potential to be a "normal" crossover with plenty of range and dynamic performance. This all makes perfect sense. If Ford wants to truly compete with Tesla, it needs to being a vehicle to market that's not only highly functional but also performance-oriented. Based on everything we know so far, the Big Three automaker is on the right track. Our own Tom Moloughney recently got some inside info on the upcoming Mustang-inspired electric crossover. He chats with our good friend Alex Guberman (E for Electric) about known details, specs, and future potential. Check out the video and then let us know what you think in the comment section below. As far as we're concerned at InsideEVs, we welcome it wholeheartedly. Bring on some "real" competition. It can only be healthy and advantageous to the future of the segment. Can Ford "Mach E" Beat Tesla Model Y? Ford is targeting Tesla Model Y with its upcoming Mustang-inspired all electric crossover to be unveiled before the LA Auto Show next month. Tom Moloughney is here to tell us all about it in his weekly segment "Plugged-in with Tom Moloughney".
State Leadership Conference in Springfield on April 6 and 7. More than 30 members competed, either at the conference or beforehand, in various events that tested their business leadership skills. Of those who competed, several Mundelein FBLA members placed high enough to qualify, as an individual or as a team, to continue on to the National Leadership Conference. Mundelein FBLA member Sofia Feijoo also campaigned and was elected as Illinois State Secretary by Illinois voting delegates. Chris Hoster and Sarah Menas are the Mundelein FBLA advisors. The Allied Soccer program allows male and female student-athletes with disabilities who are unable to participate in varsity sports to compete interscholastically. An integral part of the program are the Allied student-partners (also known as buddies) who may participate in traditional varsity sports at the school. These partners help mentor and encourage the student-athletes both at practice and on the field during games. The Allied Soccer team is back for another season of unified soccer. We鈥檝e got a great group of student athletes and peer mentors ready to take the field.

Those schools include West Oak Middle School, Diamond Lake Elementary, Fairhaven School, Fremont Middle, Fremont Intermediate, Fremont Elementary and Mechanics Grove Elementary School. The event will include all types of art from painting, jewelry making, photography, sculpture and many more. Mundelein art teachers include David Mork, Jonathan Pruc and Peter Schrenk. On Monday, April 22nd at 6:00pm, MHS will be hosting a Mental Health Awareness parent event.
This presentation, scheduled for an hour and a half, will consist of two components: first, volunteers from the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) will give a presentation called Ending the Silence. NAMI Ending the Silence is designed to give audience members an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative slideshow, short videos, and a personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental health condition. The presentation outlines symptoms of mental health conditions and gives attendees ideas about how to talk to their children and work with school staff. Following the Ending the Silence presentation, representatives from Mundelein High School鈥檚 student services staff will give a brief presentation about MHS鈥檚 efforts to inform students about mental health as well as about services provided to MHS students and families. MHS staff will also be available to answer questions at this time. If you plan to attend this presentation, please RSVP HERE.
