SPY:new Photos Depicting The 2019 CLK-Klasse
After a very long hault, in which we were practically flooded with a total bunch of spy shots with the forthcoming 2010 E-Klasse, we now get to see fresh photos with a CLK prototype that undergoes a rigurous testing programme. This time, it seems that the CLK test car has lost a bit of its camouflage, revealing some crucial details of the exterior design. The coupe will opt again for twin headlights, as already known, that will have a more angular shape. The radiator grille will have 2 horizontal slats and a big Mercedes-Benz logo in the middle. It appears that it will also be somehow separated from the rest of the body with the help of a chromed line around it, as in the case of the C 63 AMG grille. Going backwards, the design of the coupe flows evenly, without being disturbed by weird and unnecessary artistic exercises a la Bangle, for example. The side mirrors will be borrowed from the SL-Klasse, while the tail lights will mimic those from the future E-Klasse. Expect to see the well-known Mercedes-Benz coupe elegance, with CL-Klasse influence, when you will admire the car from its sides. N.B.:The last link directs to an article about the 2010 E-Klasse. The main reason for that is the information about the innovative systems to be found in the next generation E-Klasse, that will also be used for the 2009 CLK-Klasse.
The C-Class is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations. To do this, it keeps a close eye on the traffic situation; improved camera and radar systems allow it to see up to 1,640 feet ahead. The redesigned C-Class comes with extended Active Brake Assist as standard. Depending on the situation, this can help to mitigate the consequences of rear-end collisions with slow-moving, stopping or stationary vehicles ahead. This function operates even with crossing pedestrians and cyclists or prevents collisions altogether. The C-Class comes as standard with a multimedia system featuring two USB ports, an SD card reader, Bluetooth connection and media interface. The latest-generation COMAND Online system (optional) boasts fast 3D hard-disc navigation with topographic map display, photo-realistic 3D buildings, and 3D map rotations. Comprehensive information is displayed on the navigation map. For example, in addition to real-time traffic density information, it can include Car-to-X Communication warning messages, the weather, filling stations including current fuel prices, and free parking spaces. Mobile devices corresponding to the Qi standard can be charged conveniently while on the move with the optional NFC wireless charging system. The charging surface in the quick storage tray at the front of the center console is also suitable for large smartphones. The C-Class Sedan is equipped with a FrontBass 5-speaker Audio System as standard and with the Burmester Premium Sound System available as an option. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will also benefit from a new 2.0-liter inline-4 turbo engine that produces 255 hp (vs. 273 lb-ft of torque, an increase in 14 hp. The Sedan is also equipped with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission that affords a dynamic driving experience.
鈥淲here that occurs, growth will be ecologically compatible and productive for both society and the economy,鈥?explained Zetsche. The Daimler Group is at the forefront with both of these topics, and has a first-class starting point for sustained innovation and profitable growth. With the Mercedes-Benz 2020 growth strategy, the Mercedes-Benz brand aims to reclaim its position as the leading manufacturer of premium automobiles also in terms of unit sales. Daimler Trucks intends to defend its first place with its Global Excellence strategy. And the other divisions have similar plans to defend or take over the top position. In 2012 and 2013 alone, the Group will invest 鈧?0.9 billion in research and development and 鈧?0.6 billion in property, plant and equipment. Daimler will extend its leading role with green technologies. Some examples are the further development of the automobile into a zero-emission vehicle and the digital networking of automobiles to control traffic and reduce congestion. With internal-combustion engines, the CO2 emissions of Mercedes-Benz Cars鈥?fleet has been reduced within two vehicle generations by 35% to an average of 150 grams per kilometer.
Mercedes-Benz already sells the world鈥檚 most economical full-size sedan: the E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid with consumption of 4.2 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers. Starting this summer, the Daimler Group will be the first premium manufacturer to supply an electric car for all: the e-smart. Daimler had presented its figures for the year 2011 in February. In its jubilee year, the Group set records for unit sales, revenue, EBIT and net profit. Worldwide, 2.1 million vehicles were sold and total revenue increased by 9% to 鈧?06.5 billion (2010: 鈧?7.8 billion). Group EBIT amounted to 鈧?.8 billion (2010: 鈧?.3 billion) and the Group鈥檚 EBIT from the ongoing business was 鈧?.0 billion (2010: 鈧?.2 billion). Net profit increased to 鈧?.0 billion (2010: 鈧?.7 billion). In view of the very positive business development, the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board proposed the distribution of a dividend of 鈧?.20 per share at today鈥檚 Annual Shareholders鈥?Meeting. This constitutes a total payout of almost 鈧?.3 billion and a dividend ratio of about 40% in relation to the Group鈥檚 net profit. The dividend for the year 2011 is one of the highest in Daimler鈥檚 history.

Standard UK A-class equipment includes a touchscreen with the new MBUX infotainment syste, voice control, comfort suspension, 16-inch alloys (bigger rims on higher specs), DAB radio, keyless go, air-con, active lane keep assist and Artico faux leather upholstery. More engines, trims and configurations will join the range later in 2018. Prices will drop below 拢25,000 once the cheaper manual gearbox versions arrive (every model at launch comes with a seven-speed auto only). The engine range is all-new, launching with a brand-new 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a heavily revised 1.5-litre diesel. First off is the A200, which uses a 161bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol co-developed with the Renault-Nissan alliance under the M282 codename. You can have it with seven-speed dual-clutch 鈥榖ox or a six-speed manual that arrives later in the year, and is capable of an 8.0sec 0-62mph launch when fitted with the former. You鈥檒l have to wait for now, but two AMG-fettled A-Class versions are coming - an A35 and an A45.
