Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B24 cellular phone microphone.

2. Test for less than 10 Ohms between the low reference circuit terminal A and ground.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.

3. Ignition ON, test for 9.5-10.5 V between the signal circuit terminal B and ground.

瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the

CIM.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CIM.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the B24 cellular phone microphone.

Circuit/System Description

The telematics communication interface control module receives information from the cellular phone and navigation antenna located on the outside

of the vehicle. The cellular phone and navigation antenna is connected to the telematics communication interface control module via a shielded

coaxial cable. The antenna cable also provides a path for DC current for powering the cellular phone and navigation antenna.
