Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors the battery positive (B+) voltage level available for system operation. A high or low voltage

condition prevents the system from operating properly, and may cause damage to the system.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The battery voltage is greater than 16 V for 100 msec.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* The traction control system (TCS) and vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) are disabled for the duration of the ignition cycle.

* The antilock brake system (ABS) is disabled if voltage exceeds 19.5 V.

* The EBCM requests the MIL to be turned ON.

* The BRAKE indicator turns ON.

* The antilock brake system (ABS) indicator turns ON if voltage exceeds 19.5 V.

* The vehicle dynamics caution (VDC) indicator turns ON.

* The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL message.

* The DIC displays the SERVICE STABILITRAK message.

* The DIC displays the SERVICE BRAKES SOON message.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC
