Those international students who have been in the U.S. In the following recording, a Ph.D. Romania who is now enrolled in graduate school of UF talks about his early days as an international students, providing some suggestions for new comers. There are several suggestions for new comers from some successful international students. 1. Be patient. Time could be the right prescription for some problems, like language barriers and culture shock. Don't be too demanding on yourself. Slow down and make your daily tasks as simple as possible. But keep progress everyday. With time, you will adjust. 2. Keep an open mind. Get used to all the newness and get immersed into the new environment. Learn to lead a happy life. 3. Build a healthy life. Establish a routine for your daily life. Set up the time when to get up, when to study, when to eat and when to sleep. Also, get physical exercise. A healthy body promotes a healthy mind. 4. Work on improving the English. Ask questions, and don鈥檛 be afraid to try. 5. Make some new friends. Develop friendship with classmates and professors. Attend some international student organizations or associations to broaden the social circle. Establish a supporting network of friends around you. 6. Look for help from institutions, for example the international center of your university, the department you belong to, or some student organizations. 7. Work hard. Don't forget you come here for study.

鈥淐ongratulations to Jenson and the whole team for such a great result today. 鈥淲hile it鈥檚 a bit disappointing not to have been able to convert pole position into victory, I鈥檓 not downhearted - there are still plenty of races ahead and lots more opportunities to score points. 鈥淚 struggled out there a little - it wasn鈥檛 my day. But what鈥檚 most important is that we showed today that we have a very quick racing car - that鈥檚 a massive positive for the team. 鈥淚鈥檓 not sure what happened at the start, but I lost ground and then suffered from tyre degradation at the end of the first stint. 鈥淚鈥檒l just re-focus now, get my head down and look to the next race. 鈥淛enson was utterly immaculate today. 鈥淗e made a brilliant start, slipping past Lewis who got bogged down momentarily, and after that he controlled the race with consummate authority. 鈥淟ewis, too, drove extremely well, but was unfortunately deprived of second place when the Safety Car was deployed late in the race. A Vodafone McLaren Mercedes one-two had been there for the taking; but I guess it鈥檚 a very good sign when you feel a little disappointed by a one-three, so we鈥檒l settle for that! 鈥淲e never under-estimate our opposition, and undoubtedly there鈥檚 a long hard road ahead of us between now and the end of the season. But we鈥檝e started well, and in a few days鈥?time we鈥檒l roll into Sepang, Malaysia, hungry to score a repeat victory. 鈥淚 want to thank everyone at not only Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, but also at Mercedes AMG HighPerformancePowertrains, for a fantastic effort over the past few weeks and months. We鈥檝e all worked incredibly hard - and, today, in dappled late-afternoon sunshine in Melbourne鈥檚 Albert Park, all that hard work paid off.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is in a good spot. Five-ish years is a long time to wait for a midcycle refresh, but in this instance, time is irrelevant. The GLC was a good SUV from the start, and now, it's even better thanks to some clutch updates that will more than keep up with the Joneses when it hits the US later this year. What's new with you? Refreshes can be all over the map, and the GLC's changes err more toward mild than wild. Style-wise, the SUV adds a bit more character by way of svelte headlights, a new grille and tweaks to the front and rear bumpers. The changes continue inside where, again, not much has changed. Spec your GLC the right way, and you'll be staring down two different screens: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that replaces the gauge cluster, and a 10.25-inch screen "floating" atop the center console. The GLC300 is available in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations, but the engine under the hood is the same no matter what.
The SUV's 2.0-liter inline-4 puts out 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, improvements of 14 and 0, respectively, over the pre-refresh GLC. A nine-speed automatic transmission is the only cog-swapper on offer. My time with the GLC300 is spent on sinewy forest roads around Frankfurt, Germany. My tester is equipped with optional air suspension, and hoo boy, it makes for quite the chill existence. Whether rough or smooth, the road's annoyances are all but eliminated, leaving the cabin feeling like a pillow floating down the road. It's not so soft that it feels floaty or otherwise aloof, but it's one of the best rides I've experienced in this segment. Like before, the GLC300 is available in both standard SUV and the fastback Coupe variants, with the latter commanding a bit more money for fashion while eating into cargo space. On a drive around the Frankfurt area, the only GLC300 variant on offer was the "regular" one, which I prefer. Not only does it keep that traditional long-roof shape, it offers superior rearward visibility and slightly more cargo space, which is clutch for long trips with friends or family.
