Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2019: Qualifying Report - Lewis P1, Jenson P2 (VMM)
鈥淨ualifying is an intense experience and, as drivers, we all put a huge amount of pressure on ourselves, but it鈥檚 probably the part of the race weekend I most enjoy. 鈥淥n my quickest lap in Q3, I lost a little time in the final corner- maybe a tenth and a half - so it鈥檚 massively encouraging to still be in the position I鈥檓 in. It鈥檚 great for the team to have another one-two, too: that鈥檚 a huge achievement from everybody, but we just need to make sure we keep pushing because the guys behind us won鈥檛 give up. 鈥淭omorrow, there鈥檚 a long haul down to Turn One, but I鈥檒l be making sure to get a good launch and stay ahead cleanly. Anyway, the key will be to look after your tyres in the race - they鈥檒l have a tough time, especially on 150kg of fuel. But we鈥檝e hopefully got a car that has better race pace than it does qualifying pace.
鈥淨ualifying has been pretty good to me in the last two races. We鈥檝e worked well as a team, and it鈥檚 always nice when your engineer cues up on the radio at the end of Q3 and you can hear all the mechanics in the background cheering. 鈥淚 was pretty happy with my quick lap but it鈥檒l be a long, hot afternoon tomorrow so I鈥檒l be working hard to ensure I鈥檓 properly prepared and hydrated for the race. 鈥淎nyway, the most important thing is that we鈥檙e on the front row. 鈥淭oday was very close and very tough. Lewis did a fantastic first lap in Q3 and Jenson pulled it out of the bag at the very end of the session - both drivers did a fantastic job under huge pressure. 鈥淟ewis could probably have found another tenth on his fastest run, but he wasn鈥檛 going to take any risks at the end. Jenson and Lewis are free to race into the first corner. After last weekend, I鈥檓 sure that Lewis will want to come out of the first corner in the lead, but it鈥檚 a long and difficult race ahead of both of them tomorrow. 鈥淚鈥檓 proud of every person in the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team - the front row is a good place to be, but the odds are very finely stacked: we鈥檒l have a fight on our hands tomorrow, that鈥檚 for sure.
Believe me, I have been praying and hoping to find a mentor in this business that could throw me a bone and help/teach me about the business. I haven鈥檛 had much progress in that area. What I do know is that along the way I have adopted some very serious ethical principles from dealing with some really bad elements out there. This business is flooded with a bunch of not so good people folks. If you want to establish a great auto business or anything else that has to do with people, you have to come out clean from the get go. Don鈥檛 sale garbage to people folks. Take ownership of the cheap car and threat the customers as if they are buying a Mercedes Benz. I have purchased cars that I particularly enjoyed such as 911鈥檚, BMW鈥檚 and Mercedes Benz. Today I am selling a Toyota Corolla (2003) and quite enjoy the same. There will be a time in the future that I will be driving other high end cars. Today I buy what ever is in popular demand. Know your target and be aware of scammers. Its all good and God bless you. Hopefully we can do business in the future. I know people that make a very good living doing retail or wholesale in this business. It is a bit harder than a couples years ago but still has potential for very good money. THE BUSINESS IS GOOD IF YOU ARE THE BANK. I GOT OUT OF THE BUSINESS BECAUSE THERE ARE NO BANKS THAT WANT TO LOAN ANY MONEY. This is a bit misleading to say the least. I urge anyone looking to get into the car business to please put their money elsewhere. What is the steps in creating financing in your dealership? I have always had a passion for cars and have wanted to get into the car business. I really like your hub!
SEATTLE, Washington 鈥?Pity the poor sedan. Cheap gas and shifting market demands mean that consumers who once loaded up the family four-door for that summer road trip are now packing crossovers and SUVs up to their panoramic sunroofs in people, gear, and pets. That鈥檚 bad news for automakers pushing smaller, lower three-box vehicles, so much so that Ford recently announced its decision to stop selling sedans altogether. Other automakers may soon follow. But not Mercedes-Benz, who is banking on the success of its new entry-level model in sedan form. The new A-Class sedan will join the small CLA 鈥渇our-door coupe鈥?and GLA CUV in its U.S. Mercedes-Benz family from competing brands. Riding on an all-new chassis with a short 107.4-inch wheelbase, the A220 is the U.S.鈥檚 first taste of a small traditional, three-box A-Class sedan. Equipped with MacPherson strut front suspension and a four-link rear suspension, the new chassis was optimized over the current CLA/GLA platform to provide improved noise, vibration, and harshness characteristics as well as more positive handling.
