Remove/Install Front Stabilizer Bushings -

New Labor Time Allowance -

Repair Procedure

Issue:

This Technical Bulletin has been issued for information only, to inform dealers of a change in the Labor Time allowance to remove/install the front

stabilizer bushings. As part of continual reviews and quality checks several errors have been discovered in the original warranty time calculations

related to stabilizer bushings remove/install and the water control valve and mounting bracket. This time has now been validated on both latest and

original level vehicles and the times corrected.

Action:

To remove/install the front stabilizer bushings, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

1. Open hood and install fender protection covers.

2. Raise vehicle on "twin post" ramp.

3. Remove the radiator splash shield (Illustration 1).

4. If installed, displace and remove the generator cooling duct.

5. Detach and reposition the water control valve and mounting bracket (Illustration 2).

6. Remove the stabilizer bar securing bolts (Illustration 3).

Note:

Left-hand side shown; right-hand side similar.

7. Displace and remove the stabilizer bar mounting bracket upper caps.

8. Displace and reposition the stabilizer bar.

Note:

Note orientation of the stabilizer bar mounting bushings.

9. Displace and remove the stabilizer bar mounting bushings.

10. Noting orientation, install the new stabilizer bar bushings to the stabilizer bar.

11. Reposition the stabilizer bar to the mounting brackets.

12. Install and fully seat the stabilizer bar upper mounting bracket caps.

13. Install and fully tighten the stabilizer bar securing bolts to 55 Nm (Illustration 4).

14. Install the water control valve and bracket, install and tighten securing bolts (Illustration 5).

15. If installed, install the generator cooling duct.

16. Install the radiator splash shield, install and tighten securing screws (Illustration 6).

17. Lower vehicle on ramp.

18. Remove fender protection covers and close hood.
