How to: Install Speakers - it鈥檚 Easier than You Think! We are still working to obtain content for your car, however the video above is believed to have similar characteristics as your car. This video shows you how to open the hood in your 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300. Popping the hood on your C300 is a two step process, you need to release the hood latch inside your C300 and then you need to release the safety latch under your hood in the front of your C300. The video above shows you the location of both hood latches. Sometimes, the hood on Mercedes-Benzs gets stuck and won't pop up after the interior latch is released. If this occurs on your C300, simply pull up on the hood and it should pop up for you to release the second latch. Sometimes, especially on older C300s, you may have difficulty getting your hood to latch when you close it. In this case, the interior release lever on your 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300 is probably stuck in the "open" position - push the release lever back and forth several times and then try to close your hood.

I hadn't driven one of the C-Class coupes yet, and damn if this car didn鈥檛 impress me right from the get-go. I鈥檝e always said BMW tacks more toward the sporty side while Mercedes does luxury better, but this entry-level C is really a fun, sporty little coupe. The steering is super quick, which ups the sporty quotient immediately. Pulling out of One Autoweek Tower it usually takes about 180 degrees of steering input to get to the gate without chipping the wheels on the cement curbs. This only needed about 90 degrees -- I actually had to readjust mid-turn. That quick ratio and the high-performance tires go a long way toward making the C300 feel like a corner-carver. Power seemed a tad sluggish until I moved the rocker switch to sport-plus mode, which really quickens things up. It builds power nice and smooth almost to redline, before it drops off a touch. It sounds surprisingly good when you mat it too. If someone would have told me had a 300-hp six under the hood, I wouldn鈥檛 have questioned them, when in fact the C300 is powered by a great turbo four. Shifts from the 7G-tronic seven-speed automatic are quick, helping make the C300 coupe feel faster than it is. The gas pedal has a nice weight to it. It feels like you鈥檙e actually doing something when you press it down, and the brakes are just right with about 2 inches of travel and then a firm bite. The C-Class coupe feels lighter than it is in almost all circumstances.
