No Reverse Feed to Trailer / Towing Socket
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
There may not be reverse feed to the trailer / towing electrical socket and any reverse-activated trailer functions may be inoperative. This may be
caused by a missing wire from the main harness.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to repair the trailer reverse wiring.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
INSTALL TRAILER REVERSE LIGHT LINK LEAD
1. Remove the luggage compartment carpet.
2. Remove the spare wheel to gain access to cabin harness routed behind the spare wheel.
3. Remove connector C0473 from body mounting position.
4. Remove anti-back out feature. (Figure 1)
5. Plug wire assembly from kit (LR023438) into C0473 Main/Trailer N - Pin 11 (terminated end) and route alongside main harness towards
C0117. (Figure 1)
6. Locate wire 142 (Green/White) within C0117 Main/Tailgate 1 - pin 6. (Figure 2)
Cut lead approx 50mm from back of connector.

7. Splice other ends of kit to each cut end. (Figure 3)
8. Using adhesive electrical black tape, spot tape wire assembly to existing main harness run between connectors C0117 and C0473. (Figure 4)
9. Install the spare wheel.
10. Install the luggage compartment carpet.
11. Open glove box.
12. Remove the BCM fuse box cover.
13. Change Fuse 12P from 5Amp to 10Amp.
14. Install the BCM fuse box cover.
15. Verify trailer reverse lamp wiring and reverse-activated trailer functions.
