Maximum Towing, Baby

Chevrolet says the new 2020 Silverado 3500 HD can tow 35,500 pounds if properly configured. During our recent First Drive, the automaker had such a truck — a regular-cab, two-wheel-drive dually with the revised Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 engine — and a 35,500-pound trailer/cartoonish giant anvil combo for journalists to test on a closed course.

Reading is really difficult sometimes, isn’t it? Like, right now, these words could be giving you a headache, a terrible side effect of the intent to convey information. But have no fear, friends, for if you would like to learn more about the new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 but don’t wish or are unable to read, we have a video!

Ford Brings Back the Tremor Name

Ford has once again resurrected the Tremor name — this time for an off-road version of the 2020 F-250 heavy-duty pickup. While not as hardcore as the competing Ram 2500 Power Wagon, the Tremor does offer a nice bit of kit that goes beyond the basic FX4 package.

Ranger Crash Tests

The 2019 Ford Ranger performed well in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests but missed out on an award due to poor results in headlight testing. Other manufacturers have scrambled to offer redesigned headlights to earn such awards; will Ford follow suit?

What Do We Know About the Ram Dakota?

The Ram Dakota mid-size pickup was part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ five-year plan for the Ram brand, but we don’t have any real idea what it could be. Will it share a platform with the Jeep Gladiator? Will it be able to dethrone the Toyota Tacoma?

That’s the rundown, but you can get the full stories on everything PickupTrucks.com has covered this past week below:
