OVERVIEW:

This bulletin involves torquing the right front upper strut mount fasteners to the proper specification.

MODELS:

2012 (RI) Caravan / Town & Country

NOTE:

This bulletin applies to vehicles built between November 07, 2012 (MDH 1107XX) and November 08, 2012 (MDH 1108XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Rattle sound at right front of vehicle.

DIAGNOSIS:

If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform

the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Remove the cowl screen. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 23-Body >

Exterior > COVER, Cowl Panel > Removal.

2. Torque the three nuts securing the strut assembly to the shock tower to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.)(Fig. 1).

3. Install the cowl screen. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerCONNECT.

> TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 23-Body > Exterior > COVER, Cowl Panel > Install.

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
