Doors Require Greater Opening Effort in Very Cold Weather



AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:



DOOR STICKS TO VEHICLE BODY AT EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURES



Situation:



Doors require greater effort to open at extremely low ambient temperatures below -15锟斤拷C (+5锟斤拷F). Contact between the door seal and the vehicle



bodywork can result in a "sticking" sensation when attempting to open the door, requiring additional effort by the customer.



Action:



Upon customer complaint follow the Service Instruction outlined in the Repair Procedure section of this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE



APPLY CARBAFLO TO THE DOOR SEALS

1. Apply the Carbaflo pen to the seal arrowed face of the front door primary seal. (Figure 1).



2. Apply the Carbaflo pen to the seal face arrowed of the rear door primary seal. (Figure 2).



3. Apply the Carbaflo pen to the upper and forward portion of each door opening secondary seal face as indicated by the arrows. (Figure 3).
