Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator Availability

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

A Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator is now available as a serviceable part. In the event of one of the following conditions, replacement of

the complete steering gear is no longer necessary:

^ Power steering feels heavier than normal through its operating range

^ Power steering feels too light at speed

^ Power steering feels too heavy at rest and low speed

^ Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) C112201, C11231C may be stored

Action:

To install a new Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.

Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) for any special tools that may be required.
