Door Mirror Wind Noise
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A wind noise may be heard from the left or right front door mirror(s). This may be caused by air penetration between the mirror and the door mating
surface Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to insert a Nitto foam pad at the door
mirror mounting area.

NOTE:
The Nitto foam should be locally sourced from the Squeaks & Rattles Kit and must be claimed as 'sublet' using code 'other' (up to $3.09).

NOTE:

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
INSTALL NITTO FOAM PAD TO MIRROR MOUNTING AREA
1. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-09: Rear View Mirrors, and remove the door mirror.
2. Identify the cavity.
3. Identify the area to be covered by the Nitto foam.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the pad does not interfere with the mirror assembly.
4. Install the pad.
^ Cut the locally sourced Nitto foam from the Squeaks & Rattles Kit into a 25mm X 15mm rectangle.
^ Install in to the location shown.
5. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-09: Rear View Mirrors, and install the door mirror.
6. If necessary, repeat steps 1 - 5 to the opposite door / mirror.
