Rear DVD Remote Docking Tray Not Latching



AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:



Range Rover (LM) VIN: AA322097 - BA343300



Model Year: 2010 - 2011



CONDITION SUMMARY:



Situation: The rear DVD remote may not latch into its docking tray. This may be caused by distortion of the docking tray.



Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace the rear DVD remote docking tray.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.



REPAIR PROCEDURE



REPLACE THE REAR DVD REMOTE DOCKING TRAY



1. Remove the rear DVD remote control unit.



CAUTION:

Use care to not damage the arm rest.



2. Use a suitable tool to release the two front retaining clips. (Figure 1)



CAUTION:



Use care to not damage the arm rest.



3. Use a suitable tool to release the two rear retaining clips. (Figure 2)



4. Remove the docking tray: (Figure 3)



^ Disconnect the electrical connector and clip.

CAUTION:



Ensure the wiring is installed on both locating pegs of the new docking tray. (Figure 4)



5. Install the new docking tray: (Figure 4)



^ Connect the clip and connector.



6. Secure the two rear retaining clips. (Figure 2)



7. Secure the two front retaining clips. (Figure 1)



8. Install the rear DVD remote control unit.
