Wrapguard Staining
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
At Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) upon removal of the transit protection Wrapguard, it may be noticed that there are some paint stains underneath the
Wrapguard. This staining can be described as bloom or a milky type of stain. This type of stain is generally caused by moisture being trapped under
the Wrapguard.
Action:
To remove the stain, follow the Repair Procedure outlined below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
REMOVE WRAPGUARD STAINING
1. Fully remove the Wrapguard from the vehicle.
2. Inspect vehicle for bloom or a milky type of stain. (Figure 1)
3. Subject the vehicle to a 30 minute bake cycle at 60锟斤拷C (140锟斤拷F) in a conventional spray booth/oven.

CAUTION:
When using an infrared (IR) curing unit, appropriate actions must be taken to protect plastic components from heat damage.
4. If a spray booth/oven is not available, apply localized heat from an infrared (IR) curing unit.
5. When the vehicle or sheet metal is cool, polish the affected area.
