Complaint:
When the High Beam Assist is activated a "High Beam Assist inoperative" message appears in the instrument cluster.
Switch-on conditions for High Beam Assist:

  • High Beam Assist in instrument cluster menu "On"

  • Multifunction switch set to high beam position

  • Light sensor detects "Night"

In isolated circumstances, it can happen that the multifunction camera fails to log into the data bus CAN in the temperature ranges (23 ��F to + 41 ��F
and 68 ��F to 86 ��F). A fault code entry is not made. Following a renewed ignition sequence and a change in component temperature, the system is
operational again.
Remedy:
Replace MFK and calibrate with the aid of the "calibration target for Night View Assist" special tool (W 000 589 01 20 00).
