Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ One or all of the following DTCs are logged in the airbag control module.
^ DTC U000200 (Data Bus Powertrain No Communication)
^ DTC U101500 (ABS Control Module no communication)
^ DTC U101100 (Voltage supply voltage too low)
^ A3 only: DTC U015500 (Instrument Cluster Control Module No Communication)
^ Airbag software level is 140, 160, or 170.
^ The airbag light is not illuminated.
Technical Background
This condition can be created by low battery voltage in the vehicle. The DTCs are incorrectly set in the diagnosis protocol of the airbag control unit.
These DTCs do not affect the functionality of the airbag system.
Production Solution
Improved airbag control software is planned for production.
Service
Ignore DTCs as they do not affect the functionality of the airbag control module.
Improved software is not available as a service solution.
