2000 Mercedes Benz CLK 320 (208.365) V6-3.2L (112.940) Page 132
With this star bulletin we would like to inform you of a change in process of how certain electronic control modules (ECMs) are flashed using Star
Diagnosis.
Currently there are two processes for the flashing of ECMs installed in Mercedes-Benz products. Certain system ECMs are flashed using information
kept on the hard drive of the Star Diagnosis machine, while other system ECMs are flashed using a separate SDflash Release CD.
Starting with DAS Release 09/03 the ECMs listed on the attached table will be flashed utilizing a separate SDflash Release CD which will be
distributed on a monthly basis.
The first monthly SDflash Release CD (Release 000 448 81 02/0003) will be distributed in early October 2003 and subsequent SDflash CDs will be
distributed on a monthly basis.
Note:
^ On occasion there will be a special SDflash Release CD distributed to address a specific technical issue that is outlined in a DTB. Please
ensure that all relevant DTBs are reviewed prior to using any SDflash Release CD to assure proper applicability.
^ Additional ECM applicability will be added to SDFlash CDs on future releases.
