MODEL 208.365/370/374/465/470
MODEL 210.065
REPLACEMENT OF PEDAL VALUE SENSOR (B37)
This campaign has been initiated because it has been determined that under certain operating conditions the pedal value sensor (B37, Figure 1) may
fail, causing the engine to run in "Limp Home" mode or the CHECK ENGINE MIL (A1 e26) to illuminate in the instrument cluster. This requires
the replacement of the pedal value sensor (B37).
Prior to performing this Service Campaign, please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously
repaired.
Note:
Regarding PROCEDURE below:
Note:
The pedal value sensor (B37) is located as follows based on model application:
Model 203: Accelerator pedal (see Figure 1).
Model 208 and 210: Forward of brake master cylinder (see Figure 2).
PROCEDURE for Model 203:
- Remove floor mat.
- Remove and replace accelerator pedal (see WIS AR3O.12-P-1321P).

Note:
The affected accelerator pedal assemblies (for model 203) are identified via a five digit code:
(1st digit: day of week,
2nd digit: calendar week,
3rd digit: year).
Effected are all accelerator pedal assemblies:
As of code: 1 43 00
Up to and including code: 5 44 00
These codes are located on the base plate of the accelerator pedal assembly below the attach point of accelerator pedal itself.
3. After replacing the accelerator pedal assembly, connect Star Diagnosis System (SDS) and turn ignition key to position 2. Perform idle and
wide open throttle (WOT) values test. Ensure that values attained are within values indicated in SDS and erase any stored fault codes.
4. Reinstall floor mat.
PROCEDURE for Model 208 and 210:
- Open hood of vehicle.
- Locate pedal value sensor (B37) (see Figure 2).
- Disconnect accelerator pedal cable (see 1, Figure 2).
- Next note position of the return spring and its tangs (2, Figure 2). Ensure that upon reinstallation that the return spring tangs are located as
prior to removal of pedal value sensor in repair step 5.
5. Remove two hex. Bolts (3, Figure 2) from the mounting bracket, move pedal value sensor away from mounting bracket and disconnect
harness.
Note:
The affected pedal value sensor assemblies (for models 208 and 210) are identified via a five digit code:
(1st digit: calendar week,
2nd digit: year,
3rd digit: index number).
Effected are all pedal value sensor assemblies:
As of code: 43 00 xx
Up to and including code: 44 00 XX
These codes are located on the side of the pedal value sensor housing above the DCAG logo.
6. Install replacement pedal value sensor (B37) in reverse order. Ensure that return spring tangs are positioned correctly, as to pull the pedal
value sensor lever in the correct direction.
7. Connect Star Diagnosis System (SDS) and turn ignition key to position 2. Perform idle and wide open throttle (WOT) values test. Ensure that
values attained are within values indicated in SDS and erase any stored fault codes.
8. Close hood.
