Reason for block
Complaint:
Noises from the electric seat adjustment.
Cause:
Brake spring and plastic bushing of seat adjuster are damaged.
Remedy:
Remove brake spring and plastic bushing on shaft of seat adjuster. To do this:
- Remove front seat - see AR91.10-P-1000K.
- Detach clip connector of seat adjuster control unit from shaft. (Figure 1)
- Remove internal torx drive bolts for seat adjuster control unit.
- Remove internal torx drive bolts for brake spring on spring body.
(Figure 2)
- Move brake spring and plastic bushing of flange on spring body towards center of seat. (Figure 3)
- Remove brake spring from plastic bushing. (Figure 4)
- Remove plastic bushing from shaft. (Figure 4)
- Install brake spring on spring body using internal torx drive bolts. (Figure 5) - Tightening torque see line BA91.10-P-1000-01A
- Install seat adjuster control unit using internal torx drive bolts.
10. Install clip connector of seat adjuster control unit on shaft.
- Install front seat - see AR91.10-P-1000K.
- . Perform function check.
