While the Cadillac SRX had an impressive list of qualifications it did not take off as GM and Cadillac had hoped it would. The 2007 Cadillac SRX brought GM's premium brand into the crossover segment by providing better fuel economy and driving dynamics. Unfortunately for GM, the luxury car-buying public wasn't interested. Cadillac is hoping that its all-new 2010 SRX will work out differently, and indeed it is different.
The 2010 SRX has a shift from rear-wheel drive to front, smaller wheels, and more efficient powertrains. Cadillac has also priced the SRX some $3,500 below the RX, the SRX's competitor, and designers have changed the appearance of the model. Looks to us that the Cadillac SRX is taking off as expected. Watch out Lexus.
