CONDITION SUMMARY:



Situation:



The Navigation system Touchscreen language and distance units may change from the customer-selected settings to UK English and miles. This may



be caused by the infotainment system start-up sequence not completing correctly.



Action:



In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to upgrade the Information and entertainment system



initilization timer.

IDS with latest IDS-DVD and Calibration File; first available on IDS-DVD121_V6.10 Calibration File 40 Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle



Power Supply



Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) for any required special tools

NOTE

Always refer to9 DDW to obtain the latest quantity of zero.



DDW requires the use of casual part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.



REPAIR PROCEDURE



UPDATE THE INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM INITIALIZATION TIMER



CAUTION:



Ensure all ignition "ON"/ignition "OFF" request are carried out; failure to perform these steps may cause damage to control modules in vehicle.



CAUTION:



A Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during IDS diagnosis/module programming.



1. Connect the Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.

NOTE:



IDS must be loaded with IDS-DVD121 -V6.10 or later and Calibrated File 40 or later.



2. Connect the IDS to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.



3. Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.



4. From the Session Type selection screen, choose Diagnosis.



5. Select the "Selected Symptoms" tab, and then select:



^ Electrical > Information and entertainment system > Navigation system > Display



6. Select "continue".



7. Select the Recommendations" tab.



8. From the Recommendation tab, select "Run" to configure the "Information and entertainment system initilization timer"



^ Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.



9. Exit the current session.



10. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics vehicle Power Supply form the vehicle.
