Issue: 1
Date: 12 July 2010
SECTION: 417

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
Condensation, mist, or water droplets may appear in the lower section of the headlamps. This may be caused by the cooling of the headlamp lens

NOTE:
Repair procedures are under constant review, and therefore times are subject to change; those quoted here must be taken as guidance only. Always
refer to DDW to obtain the latest repair time.
DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
Under certain atmospheric conditions, condensation, misting, and fogging is acceptable at any level providing it does not grow to the point where
water droplets form and run down the inside of the headlamp lens. Lamps which show misting or fogging will usually clear with no adverse effect
when the headlamps are switched 'ON'.
1. Inspect the headlamps for condensation, misting, and fogging.
^ If only condensation, misting, and fogging are evident, release the vehicle. (Figure 1)
