Last year, Italdesign stunned attendees of the Geneva Motor Show with the reveal of the seductive Zerouno supercar, the first car to be built as part of the company’s new Automobili Speciali division specializing in limited-production cars. To celebrate Italdesign’s 50th anniversary, the Zerouno will be dropping its top at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in just a matter of weeks. So far, we know very little about the new targa variant, but it’s probably safe to assume it will have similar specifications to its coupe counterpart.
What we do now know, however, is how much it costs. According to Automotive News Europe, the Italdesign Zerouno Roadster will set you back, wait for it, $2.4 million plus sales taxes. That’s nearly $500,000 more than the Coupe. Automotive News also confirms that the Zerouno Roadster will share the same platform as the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan, just like the coupe. Power is provided by an Audi-sourced 5.2-liter V10 engine with 610 horsepower on tap. In the Zerouno coupe, 0-62 mph takes just 3.2 seconds before the supercar hits a top speed of 205 mph, so the Roadster version should have similar performance.
It also boasts a bespoke carbon fiber body and a different interior than the Audi and Lamborghini models. Like the coupe, production of the Zerouno Roadster will be limited to only five units. Two have already been sold, while the coupe has been sold out for months. Two of those have already been delivered, one of which was recently showcased roaring down rural roads, while three are currently in the final stages of production. Judging by how fast the Zerouno Coupe sold out, Italdesign should have no trouble finding wealthy buyers for the Roadster.
