Reason for change
Complaint: When addresses are entered as navigation destinations via the Audio/COMAND controller (A40/9), the house numbers are not found in some cases.
Only affects navigation modules (A2/30) with the following software releases:
1.) Interface software (Automotive Software) in navigation module (A2/30) prior to version 12/48.00 (A 166 902 11 05)
2.) Navigation software (PND software) in navigation module (A2/30) prior to version 2.5.26
Note:
If the same address is entered via voice input ("OneShot": town - street - house number), the address is found.
Cause: Software in navigation module (A2/30).
Remedy: Perform the following software updates in the navigation module (A2/30):
1.) Update interface software (Automotive Software) in navigation module (A2/30) to version 12/48.00 (A 166 902 11 05) (expected to be available as of XENTRY Diagnostics Release 07/13) or higher using XENTRY Diagnostics.
2.) Update firmware in navigation module (A2/30) to version R26.3.0130 (available as of Week 12/13) or higher using Becker Content Manager.
3.) Update navigation software (PND software) in navigation module (A2/30) to version 2.5.26 (available as of Week 12/13) or higher using Becker Content Manager.
Notes:
- The updates of the navigation software (PND software) including firmware must be performed using the current Becker Content Manager. The checks for updates on launching the Becker Content Manager must be activated in the "Settings" menu (see attachment). To update the navigation software, it may be necessary to perform a free-of-charge update of the map data at the same time. Detailed information can be found at www.beckermappilot.com. The update process can take up to several hours depending on your Internet connection.
- As a remedy until the software becomes available, voice input can be used to enter the address and set it as a destination.
